Our Areas of concern and responsibility

Education

Our foundation is committed to improving access to quality education as a key driver of individual and community development. We focus on providing learning opportunities for children, youth, and adults, especially those in underserved areas, by supporting schools, offering scholarships, promoting literacy, and encouraging skills training. Our responsibility is to ensure inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning that empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and contributes to sustainable societal growth.

Empowerment

Lack of empowerment opportunities, limited access to skills training, resources, and capital that restrict individuals and communities from achieving self-sufficiency and meaningful development. AYEIF empower individuals and communities by providing training, tools, and financial support that foster entrepreneurship, build capacity, and promote active participation in community development for sustainable growth.

Emergency Support

Rapid response to humanitarian crises, including natural disasters, conflicts, and other emergencies that threaten lives and livelihoods. Providing immediate emergency relief such as food, water, shelter, and medical aid to affected communities and regions; coordinating with local partners and authorities to ensure effective response; and supporting recovery efforts to restore stability and resilience.

Governance

Our foundation is committed to promoting democratic governance and human rights as essential pillars of sustainable development and lasting peace. We are particularly concerned with issues such as ineffective government institutions, lack of transparency, weak rule of law, and corruption.

AYEIF responsibility is to support accountability, strengthen civic participation, promote ethical leadership, and advocate for policies that uphold justice and equality. Through partnerships, capacity-building, and community engagement, we aim to empower citizens and institutions to foster transparent, inclusive, and effective governance systems.

Migration

Irregular migration and human trafficking within the African sub-region, particularly the exploitation, abuse, and marginalization of vulnerable populations, especially women and children.

AYEIF combats human trafficking and unsafe migration through awareness campaigns, advocacy, rescue operations, and the rehabilitation and reintegration of victims. The foundation also works to strengthen cross-border collaboration, provide skills training, and promote safe migration pathways for sustainable community development.

Public Health

Our foundation is committed to improving community well-being through access to clean water, quality healthcare services, and improved nutrition. We focus on reducing preventable diseases, promoting healthy living, and strengthening local health systems. By providing basic tools for agricultural production and implementing the World Bank–supported Nutrition Project, we aim to enhance food security, combat malnutrition, and ensure sustainable health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
